There are four lakes stocked with fish for homeowner recreational fishing. The lakes have cascading lighted water fountains creating a serene atmosphere. Another natural lake called the GRASSY LAKE can also be viewed from the back of the Shadows property. This lake is considered to be wetlands protected and borders the Shadows Community. While out walking along the lakes you will see our most common wildlife visitors. The Blue Herons, Egrets, Canadian Geese and Mallards. You might even see a deer or two on the community common grounds near the park. There’s no place like this in Baton Rouge to be this close with nature and still live the city life. Running along the backside of the Shadows development is access to Jones Creek. The creek stretches for miles winding through East Baton Rouge Parish.
