Come home from a hectic day at work and enjoy the Lakes and Park within the Shadows Community. There are four lakes stocked with fish for homeowner recreational fishing. The lakes have cascading lighted water fountains creating a serene atmosphere. Another natural lake called the GRASSY LAKE can also be viewed from the back of the Shadows property located behind Lake 4 on Martin Lake Dr. This lake borders the Shadows Community and can be accessed from the walking trail should you decide to cast your rod and fish the Grassy Lake. While out walking or jogging along the lakes on the walking trail you will see our most common wildlife visitors. The Blue Herons, Egrets, Canadian Geese, Mallard Ducks and yes Pelicans too ! You might even see a deer or two on the Community Common Ground near the park. There’s no place like this in Baton Rouge to be this close with nature and still live the city life. Running along the backside of the Shadows Community development is access to Jones Creek. The Creek stretches for miles winding through East Baton Rouge Parish.

The Shadows Common ground area is where you will find the Community Park set along Jones Creek, in natural wooded setting that creates that country feel. This area has a Tennis Court , a Covered Pavilion, Picnic Tables, Children’s play equipment with Swing Sets and a Jungle Jim with Slides.
